Introduction

            Since few decades, globalization ahs advanced rapidly that has resulted in a number of changes across the globe. Immigration is one of such aspects that have increased rapidly due to such globalization. Although the United States witnessed huge waves of immigrants from the 20th century; however, globalization has inclined experts and organizations to study impact and effects of immigration on different sectors of American life.

Experts have noted that immigration plays an important role and is fundamental basis of American dream that involves diversity of cultures and societies under one platform. However, besides immigration, country confronts a major issue of illegal immigration that has resulted in detrimental effects on the country. Still, few experts believe that illegal immigrants should get rights, such as education, voting, and healthcare as enjoyed by legal immigrants. However, studies have noted continuation of such debate where experts from both sides attempt to prove their point.

In this regard, this study will be particularly endeavoring to identify few resources, such as research-based articles, information published by governmental organizations, and researches carried out by globalization related experts on one of the major aspects of immigration, illegal immigration. This paper will attempt to identify various resources on illegal immigration that will enable the readers to acquire a comprehensive understanding of this issue. Moreover, after thorough analysis and discussion, the researcher has decided to focus on impact of illegal immigration on education, and thus, this study will try to identify various factors related to illegal immigration, and will analyze that such issue is resulting in negative, positive, or no impact on education system of the country.

During the research, process identified different books, articles, and journals related to illegal immigration with the help of ‘Google’ search engine. In this regard, concrete material with the help of mentioned search engine facilitated effectively in the research process. Besides online research, library provided few books that were helpful in understanding the impact of illegal immigration on different aspects of American life, especially the education system of the country. The researcher took benefit of detailed amount of resource material available on the internet, and internet databases allowed the researcher to carry out the process without any issue of funding. On the other hand, some of the problems confronted were lack of valid and accurate information related to illegal immigration that resulted in unproductive results. Moreover, many academic journals and databases did not allow researcher to acquire full-text studies and articles due to subscription policies, and thus, research was limited to abstracts in case of academic databases.

            As earlier mentioned, the country is confronting a number of issues in its economic, healthcare, education, and social system due to influx of illegal immigration. It is noted during the research process that a number of studies have been carried out to understand different factors that are influencing and promoting illegal immigration. It is an observation that such illegal aliens in the country have affected American life and system adversely, and thus, steps are essential to ensure legal arrival in the country across different borders.  Conclusively, the paper discussed some of the significant resources related to illegal immigration in the United States identified during the research process. It is an expectation that the paper will be beneficial for students, teachers, and professionals in better understanding of the topic.
