Introduction of TOPIC

1. Part One
What is a Worldview?
The term Worldview has several different ways it can be defined, and because it is so complex some people mistakenly think they don’t have one. But it is very important to understand that we all have a worldview, even if we don’t realize it. Worldview is a person’s viewpoint of life, it is the frame work in which a person makes decisions. Some people view it as their moral compass, while others view it more as a lens or filter in which they use to interpret the world around them.

2. Part Two
1. Question of Origin
From a biblical worldview the answers start in the bible. The bible is used as the filter or lens for which the world is view. Where did we come from? The bible tells us in (Genesis 1:1) that God is the beginning of everything; he created the heavens and the earth out of nothing. David describes in Psalms how God created him uniquely and David was marveled by God’s workmanship. (Psalms 139:13)> 2. Question of Identity God created humans with great value,

for they were created in his image. (Genesis 1:27). They were given the responsibility to take care of the animal kingdom. Man is instructed to “reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.” (Genesis 1:28)

3. Question of Meaning and Purpose rev 4:11 john 17:3
We have all asked ourselves why were we created, what is our purpose in life? As Christians we believe that God created us because he wants to have relationship with us and he wants to know each of us on a personal level. (John 17:3) The creation of man brought God great pleasure and therefore we existed to know and please him. (Revelation 4:11)

4. Question of Morality
What is right or wrong and where do we get our moral filter to distinguish the two? The Apostle Paul tells us that our conscience is our moral compass that has been written in our hearts by God. (Romans 2:15) Many people are unaware that the “golden rule” a phrase that is known and followed by many is a scripture it the Bible and God’s instructions for our moral compass. (Matthew 7:12) God wants us treat people with both dignity and respect.

5. Question of Destiny
Christians believe in two eternal destinies either heaven or hell. We will either be in the presence of God in Heaven or separated from him in Hell. (Revelation 21:7-8). Jesus tells us in (John 14:6) that no one can come to God except through him. This scripture gives us instructions on how we should direct our lives in order to live out our eternal destiny in Heaven with God.
