Make a comparative study amoung India, Pakistan and China based on democratic indicators, GDP, sectors and human development. Ans:- The developmental strategies persuade by India and the two largest of its neighbouring economies – Pakistan and China will be compared on the basis of sum economic indicators. While comparing, it has to be remembered that apart from their similarities in their physical endowment there is little in common between the political power of India and its neighbouring countries. If we compare the global population with every six persons living in this world, one is Indian and the majorities are Chinese. The population of Pakistan is very small and accounts for 1/10th of India and China. Though China is the largest nation amoung these three the density of population is lowest for this country as geographically it occupies the largest area.

Apart from population density, fertility rate is also low is low in China and very high in Pakistan. Urbanisation is high in both Pakistan and China with India having 28% of its people living in urban areas for industrial production. According to the growth of GDP, China has the 2nd position with $7.2 trillion whereas India’s GDP is $3.3 trillion and Pakistan’s GDP is roughly 10% less of India’s GDP. According to the survey report of 2000-2003, agriculture contribute 15%of GDP in China whereas 23% of GDP in both India and Pakistan. In Pakistan about 49% of people work in agriculture, in China 54% of people work in agriculture whereas in India 60% people are engaged in agricultural sector. In the normal course of development, country’s 1st shift their employment an output from agricultural to manufacturing than to services.
