Inventory System Argumentative

Many companies are using inventory systems for their success and growth. Inventory systems have a variety of functions that have purpose in businesses. Promoting the sales and shrinkage control are two main functions of inventory system. Promoting the sales function deals with availability of sufficient products for the customers whereas shrinkage control function deals with monitoring the occurrence of damage loss, or theft, etc. of the products. A company must have a powerful inventory system in order to supervise the company’s inventory. Conducting an inventory is one of the critical operations of the company, gathering data is important to keep the company more updated in their products. A manual inventory system is more difficult to conduct. It requires more time, more effort to conduct. It will make the processing of data or updating the records slower and burdensome for the people involved. The proposed system will eliminate some of difficult tasks, minimizing them into smaller manageable problems to solve.

Background of the Study:
An inventory system is a process whereby a business keeps track of the goods and material it has available. It can be done manually by a count at the end of each day. In this way it is possible to keep a record of the goods coming into the business and goods being sold. DCRN Sari-Sari store is the one that we want to make a system. The business is about 3 years. It sells groceries, can goods, rice, and even nails, screw and many more. It is an all in-one hardware and convenience store. As time pass by, the business becomes progressive. Inventory System gives business owners a convenient way of checking out the availability of the product for customers. Almost all business firms, schools and other institutions, computers have significant impact in their works. People rely on computer for efficient and effective
way to handle different loads and task most especially for business who are working with sales and inventorying like DCRN store for its high chance of missing products, delayed information and massive entering of stocks.

Problems and Opportunities:
The inventory in this store has relied on their pens and papers. As time goes by, problems such as missing products, delayed information process and wrong stock information has arisen. Furthermore, some could not be able to handle the massive entering of stocks. Under their manual system, it takes a lot of time to process. The system is developed specially to meet the needs of any store like DCRN.

Envisioned Solution
We will going to create a system that has an easy user interface, user log in, view all its products and its properties, add products, edit, delete, print and search the product and notifies the user how many products are left in the store.
