There are lots of twists and turns for them to finish the movie on time, on budget, and to be the best movie of the summer, but that is nothing this band of friends can’t accomplish. This movie is the perfect ending to a legendary television show and fans of the show are going to leave the movie wanting more. Entourage – The Movie Coming off of eight very successful and award-winning seasons from 2004-2011, Hobo’s Entourage was for many, including myself, one of the greatest television shows of all time.

This show was the epitome of the desired life by many of being famous with the abundant amount of money, cars, girls, drugs, and fame that the chatters are exposed to throughout the show, which is why the show had such a huge fan base, especially from the male audience. The premise of the show was following the life of actor superstar Vincent Chase (Adrian Greener) and his “entourage” of friends Eric Murphy (Kevin Connelly), Johnny ‘Drama’ Chase (Kevin Dillon), Turtle (Jerry Ferreira), and agent Air Gold (Jeremy Even) as they navigate through the many ups and downs that are associated with life in Hollywood, California.

One of the most intriguing aspects of this show is that not only does the plot focus on the life of Vince but it also follows on the lives of the other main character’s troubles and triumphs in their lives. This show was produced by Mark Halberd with the ideal of recreating the fife and paying tribute to all the struggles that he went through in becoming an established and well known actor in Hollywood.

The entire Entourage series was well known for having an abundance of celebrity cameos by very well-known athletes, music artists, etc… And the movie is no different in that aspect with appearances from Russell Wilson, Rondo Rouser, Lima Ones, Mark Cuban, Calvin Harris, and many more. Fans of the show and even the actors themselves had been wanting a movie to be done for years since the show ended in 2011 and finally in 2015 their prayers would be answered and the movie would not spotting for those fans who so patiently waited.

In the Entourage movie, the storyline picks up right where the end of the series finale left off which was a very popular move by the fans of the television series. Air Gold returns from his early retirement in Europe and goes from the most powerful agent in Hollywood to the head of the studio for NBC, one of the biggest studios in the entire world, and gives Vince the biggest challenge of his career. Not only does Vince want to be the starring actor in this huge movie but he also wants to be the director, opening up another avenue to his repertoire.

The significance of the struggles Vince is having maintain a budget as a director is best exemplified by the conversation with Vince, Drama, and Air, “Air: I gave you 100 million dollars. You agreed to not go over! Vince: Because you said I couldn’t direct unless we agreed. Johnny: It’s like when a girl asks if you want to bang her hot sister. Of course you say ‘no’ but neither of you really believes you mean it, though. Air: What is he doing here? (Amid)”.

With the movie already being millions of dollars over budget before completion, pressure from the owners of the studio to have the movie done and be the biggest movie of the summer, and Vine’s pressure n himself to make a masterpiece in his directing debut, Vince needs the help of his boys to accomplish what seems to be a near impossible task, because if they fail, Air, Vince, and the rest of the gang will be such failures that they will forever be done in Hollywood. The biggest conflict that becomes evident throughout the movie is simply Air and Vincent Chase vs..

Travis McClure, who is the son of the co-financier for the movie whom has been in charge of deciding whether to provide more funding to finish the movie or to scrap it and cancel the movie. Travis wants Vince and Drama cut from the movie or else he will not vie them more money due to his jealousy of Vince spending too much time with Emily Artworks, whom is the sexual interest of Travis. When Air finds this out, he becomes infuriated with the situation and interrupts a boardroom meeting to let everyone involved with the movie that this is the reasoning that there is a holdup in the post-production for Evinces movie.

Ultimately, Larsen McClure (the father of Travis) gives Air an ultimatum, in order for the remaining funding to come in Air must resign as studio head. At the end of the movie, Air reveals that he did in fact resign so Vince could finish his movie Hyde, which need up being an extreme success, grossing nearly $450,000,000 worldwide and also winning Vince and Johnny Golden Globe Awards for their respective roles in the movie. In the end, through all of the ups and downs that they went through together, the whole “Entourage” are now the kings of Hollywood.

With that being said, the most noticeable theme in the Entourage series and movie would be the concept of brotherhood and having each other’s backs like Vince, Drama, Eric, Turtle, and Air have for one another. Life in Hollywood can be very stressful for actors in the “make or break” environment that is associated tit that lifestyle, so the most important thing that they all never forget is that, no matter what happens, rich or poor, they will always do whatever it takes to take care of one another.

This does not prevent them from having fun with one another such as the scene in the movie with Air and Eric saying, “Eric: We can’t finish the movie without money. Air: Really? Because I thought we could finish it with Fruit Loops (Amid)”, which is just an example of the friendship they all share with one another. Air Gold gave up the biggest sacrifice in which he gave up his own personal career as head of a movie studio in order to provide one of is best friends the opportunity to become a superstar, and in the world that is Hollywood, that is the ultimate sacrifice that one can make.

Throughout the movie the television show there are many instances where the group of friends will sacrifice something for one another in the hopes it makes them better off and they know that the favor will be returned when the time is right. Friendship and loyalty are resounding in this movie and they are ideals need to be very important in our lives and this does a wonderful job of showing the way we should all act towards the people that we truly care about. Success in he movie business can have many definitions depending on who you ask, so the success of the Entourage movie will vary among viewers.

Financially, it was a very low budget movie compared to most movies and in the end it made very little profit in the box office over what the cost to make the movie was, which is a detriment to loyal fans because the movie studios will be hesitant to invest a lot of money in a sequel. Schematically, there was nothing spectacular about the movie that is going to change the way we look at movies such as movies like Shutter Island and Gravity have done in the past. Loyally, this movie was a home UN to the diehard fans of the television series.

One could argue that this was just like a 100 minute long episode, which is exactly what all the fans wanted to see. The loyal fans of this television show, including myself, loved every second of the movie just to be able to see the gang back together again to “make the magic” that we got to experience for eight seasons. Entourage in all its madness and chaos, is the perfect example of a show that can not only give one insight and change the way you look at a particular social world but also entertain the hell out of audience, which is what made this one of the most unique and artistically reefer of all time.

Rotten Tomatoes scored the Entourage movie at 31 % with an average score of 4. 6/10 with many reviews encouraging viewers to not waste their time and money to go see the spiff movie. Brian Gibson from Biweekly. Com said, “A vapid male fantasy scantily clad as a movie, Entourage continues Hobo’s dismal record of big-screen spiff of its TV series… (Gibson)”. Matthew Toomey of BBC Radio Brisbane claimed, “Filled with cameos (some of them quite bizarre), this film is more of a celebration of the entourage series rather than a continuation of it (Toomey)”. Finally, as Brian Miller from Seattle

Weekly notes, ‘This reunion brings a smile to your face (Miller)”. Amid scored this movie at a consensus score of 7. 4 from over 15,000 ratings which shows a wide range of takes on the success of the movie. Every person from around the globe is going to have a review take on how successful or lack thereof success with the movie, but the wide variety of results show, it is up to the individual to decide his or her interpretation of the comedy in the movie was humorous or if it was a complete failure. When reading these reviews to help form my own personal review of the Entourage movie, I can’t help but agree with all of them. Ere with Gibbon’s review in that it is truly a male fantasy that we wish we all could live, but that is not a detriment to the movie because that is what truly makes it such a unique and schematically fulfilling film. I also agree with Matthew Doomsters review in that it is a celebration of the show and the large amount of cameos do help the movie to have a ‘Who’s going to show up next” mentality, which makes this movie so crazy to help live up to the hype that was created from being such a successful television show.

I do also think this is a continuation of the series as it picks up where the teaser from the series finale left off and moms to the perfect ending forever, if the studios decide to finally call it quits now. Finally, my favorite review of them all is the one by Miller in that, if you are a fan of the show then seeing the movie and all the characters back together will bring a smile to your face and make you enjoy the series as a whole.

So with all that being said, my personal review of the Entourage movie is this, ‘The Entourage movie is the perfect ending to the entire series in that is reunites the gang for one last hooray that is filled with dozens of celebrity cameos and perfectly exemplifies all the madness that has made the show so popular over its inure on HOBO. My final advice to potential moviegoers would be this, if you are a fan of the series or just a fan of the “Dream Hollywood Lifestyle” then I highly recommend you go see this movie as you will enjoy it from the opening intro to the sentimental ending during the credits, make sure you stay for that.

I would rate this movie a 9. 5 out of 10 and would highly recommend for everyone to go see this masterful tribute to a legendary show. (Spoonerism)”. Entourage will go down in HOBO and television history as one of the most iconic and successful television shows of all time due to its innate uniqueness that makes t such an intriguing show to watch and for eight seasons we were all witnesses to this work of art. One of the most unique things about this show is that for the most part is a true story in that this show was based off the life of Mark Halberd and all the crazy happenings that happened to him in Hollywood.
