Macbeth

As we all know William Shakespeare has been one of the best writers that the world has ever known. One of his most known and famous plays Macbeth. One thing that made it so famous was the way that it was lady Macbeth made in the play to be a cold killer and who persuaded Macbeth to kill the king and the way she leads him to his tragic down fall from her own foolish ambitions that its self goes against what the way that women were putrid as “loving, caring, mothers, weak, harmless, humble… small women who had no effect on the way of the world or rule of men” as for who they were seen in the 16th & 17th centaury.

That’s another thing that was so amassing about Shakespeare he always took the some thing which was recent for example after the lose of his son Hamlet who died in 1596 (Elizabethan period) from the pelage. he made a play called Hamlet and was about the love and loyalty of the son hamlet had to his father and was sent out to revenge him but the wonders thing about Shakespeare work is still modern from the ideas like wanting to honour your loved ones and wanting revenge on the ones responsible and many others. And the fact that in Macbeth Shakespeare deliberately but witches in to please the king as he was so into the supernatural.

With the opening scene of act 1 scene 5 it opens with lady Macbeth reading the letter from Macbeth informing her about him becoming king and him becoming Thane of Cawdor as phopherced by the 3 sisters. At this point she is already beginning to doubt him becoming king by the way she opens with her first amount of her saying he has no ambition “I fear that thy nature it is too full of the milk of human kindness” (line 16 act 1 scene 5) she knows that he would never unless she persuades him for he Is a good man and was not in his nature. Is well as “thou wouldst be great; art not without ambition”(line 18 act 1 scene 5) and “wouldst not play false, and yet wouldst wrongly win”- she knows what she has to do although she knows its wrongly and Un-godly but she strongly believes that they would be much happier.

And so “hie thee hither that I may pour my spirits in thine ear” she wants Macbeth to come back to her so she may persuade him to do the deed for her own personal ambition. n her soliloquy after the arrival of the message that Duncan comes that night “The raven himself is hoarse that croaks the fatal entrance of Duncan under my battlements” the raven has been recognised as death and the use of the words the fatal entrance of Duncan under my battlements almost as if she was describing as if Duncan was there pray and fallen into there trap.

Lady Macbeth then calls ebon the sprits that tend on mortal thoughts to make her to be changed into a man to fell no sorrow as the way most men had been known to be savaged killers when it had been done and also for no gilt to follow as for that I think shows she knows that she would feel guilt and she thinks that she wouldn’t be able to go through with it.

And I think for her scooping so low to be begging the devil to be able to do something that would most murdering villains would have no problem with, so that’s why I think there is still good in her why else would this murder disturb her so much that it lead her to madness then her and her beloveds tragic downfall. Latter on when Macbeth enters she says, “O, never shall sun that morrow see! ” She has chosen Macbeths side. for as death had come to king Duncan death is for yet to come to Macbeth

In act 1 scene 7 Macbeth shows that he no longer wants part of this un-godly matter for “he hath honour’d me of late” lady Macbeth can not believe what she is hearing and she calls ebon him as if like a child Macbeth stands there whiles lady Macbeth condicks his very own masculinity “when you dust do it, then you were a man… you would be so much more than a man” Macbeth is not convinced as he asks, “if we fail? ” and she simply responds by pushing any other thoughts or feelings out “we fail! But screw your courage to the sticking place and we will not fail! “
