Raw materials in big size go trough hopper, and are sent to jaw crusher evenly by vibrating feeder for primary crushing. The crushed materials are sent to cone crusher (or impact crusher) by belt conveyor for secondary crushing, and then the crushed materials are sent to vibrating screen by belt conveyor for screening. The final sand (the final products below the bottom sieve) is sent to sand washer to clean, and then to the final products pile. The bigger pieces ston

ISOLATION OF PLANT DNA FROM ONIONS

Title: Isolation of plant DNA from onion Introduction DNA is the hereditary material of all living organisms and therefore the isolation of DNA is essential to geneticists and molecular biologists and scientists interested in studying hereditary diseases. Almost all cells contain DNA, but not all have equal amounts and therefore it is important to select the source of DNA carefully. DNA is an actual thing, found in our bodies, in very large quantities. In fact, it is found in every living thing except bacteria (Walter, 2017). It is DNA that determines who we are, but DNA is made up of the same basic materials as are found in the rest of bodies. It has the biochemical property of being polar, which allows us to separate it from a solution using the electrochemical properties of other things found in our bodies, such as proteins (Switzer, 2009). DNA extraction is a fairly...

Investigating the Effects of Plant Density on...

1. Design – Part A 1.1 Defining the Problem Focus / Research Question How does plant density affect the growth of radish seeds? Hypothesis If the population of plants in soil increases then the growth of the radish seeds will be reduced. Background Information / Theory Germination is the first stage of plant growth, resulting in a seedling. Seeds need soil, heat, oxygen and water to germinate. Initially the food required for the seed to germinate is stored in the seed (Wikipedia 2012, Factors Affecting Seed Germination). Once the seed has germinated, the roots will start to grow towards the soil and the sprout will grow upwards. As the first tiny leaves appear, photosynthesis is started. In the next stage of growth the plants start to compete for water and nutrients in the soil and also for sunlight and carbon dioxide above. Seeds that are planted too close to one...

Leaves are small, sensitive, bipinnate; leaflets about 16 pairs; petioles up to 4 cm long. Inflorescence of axillary headlike spikes, flowers pinkish, sessile. Pods usually in a dense cluster, 10 to 15 mm long and 4 mm wide, flat, segmented, somewhat constricted between the articulations, one-seeded segments[1]. Being called as Grass seed and Love grass, Chrysopogon Aciculatus (Retz) Trin is a vigorous creeping grass with stout, tough rhizomes, the culms ascending to 45 cm. Inflorescence a small panicle, 7.5-10 cm long, with numerous slender branches. Spikelet is narrow. Awn is bristly, short and fine. The branches at first ascend almost vertically, spread obliquely at flowering and then...
