love Daisy that he moves as close as he could to her house and at night he would always stare at the green light on Daisy’s dock.

“Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgiastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that’s no matter tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther and then one fine morning so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past”. Gatsby one day meets nick caraway which is cousins to Daisy Buckman and he becomes good friends with him. One day Gatsby asks Nick for a favor he ask him to invite daisy over for dinner so they can talk.

So Daisy comes over and Daisy and Gatsby are reunited Daisy admits that she still has feelings for Gatsby but says she is with tom now. Gatsby refuses to give up on his dream. A couple days after the dinner Gatsby goes to Daisies and they all decide to go in town it is there where he tells tom that’s “Daisy loves me not you” but Daisy doesn’t admit it. When they’re driving home Daisy is driving with Gatsby in the car Daisy hits Myrtle Wilson and killed her they drive off. Later that night Gatsby takes the blame and one day is floating in the pool and he gets killed by George Wilson.

Many people dream to have Gatsby’s life wealth, power and people that envy you. Many would suggest that Gatsby is living the American dream but that is where they are wrong many people think that the American dream is just wealth and power you can have both of those things just as Gatsby did but if you’re not happy then your life would be sad and lonely. Gatsby American dream was not to become wealthy or powerful all Gatsby wanted was his true love Daisy.
