Explain how you will use these skills to make your interpersonal verbal communication more effective. I will use these skills to make my interpersonal verbal communication more effective, by reading more, and paying close attention to my surroundings. Communication is a great way of expressing our selves, likewise getting words across. Reading helps our brain adapt to new words and helps us with our vocabulary. Use a specific example of someone in your life (past or present) that is difficult to communicate with. Unfortunately my older sister is one who is difficult to communicate with. She thinks that the world revolves around her. There are times when decisions are to be made concerning a loved one; she thinks that she should be the one to make spontaneous decisions. To her nothing that I say is good enough, but at times I would try my best to stress on the matter.
For example, I was planning an anniversary party for my grand-parents, so she though I did not want her involved, she started acting inappropriately, which means that she did not listen to what I was talking about and jumped to her own conclusion. Describe how using these skills could improve your communication with this person. Using these skills will be beneficial, because it helps me to be more precise, it will broaden my mind to accept criticism, because I believe that every one is prone to their own opinion. It will help me acknowledge their presence, thus speaking in a meek tone, so I know that every thing I said is understood.
