As an employee I fear for my life at this company with all this dust blowing in the air. I don’t know what to do? There are so many things that I should be doing about this but I don’t know if I will be risking my job or going to get someone else in trouble? Do I have the right to report this situation to someone else? I believe that I would risk my job just to save my life with many other lives. I would have to report it to either OSHA or the owner. If the owner does not do anything then I would be forced to risk my job. We should not be working in this kind of condition. There are laws about these dangerous conditions that we are working in. It is corporate responsibility to make sure we are not in harm. If I choose not to report the company and the company has an accident fire in the middle of the night or even worse doing working conditions then I will feel responsible because I didn’t stop it from happening. It would be wrong to not call in on this company because it is messing with the employee’s health. By not calling in on this company means that this company does not have any organized culture. It does not really care what happens to the company.
The possible consequence if I were to report this company would be either losing my job and be labeled as something that I am not. I want to help save jobs and lives and not be labeled as a whistleblower. I am trying to save the company and am not trying to get them in any trouble. I just want them to do the right thing and have someone come in and clean the company or work together as a team and clean it ourselves. The possible consequences that could happen if I fail to report the work place conditions are numerous. First there could be a horrible factory fire! Many lives could be affected if it is not reported and brought to the company’s attention. If I don’t report this then it would be against any morals that I have.
I would feel like it is my fault even though it is not in any way my fault. This company should have standards and should stand up for the company. They wouldn’t be in so much trouble if they kept up with their responsibilities in the first place. Assuming that I reported the workplace condition would I be labeled? In my eyes I don’t see it as that. I see it as helping the company not blowing up in many pieces. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t just pay someone to clean the factory so that they don’t end up in the news and under investigation for something so simple that could be fixed. I know there has to be someone in the company that knows something about why they are not worried about the condition of the factory.
